A quick escape to Bangladesh's tea capital: rolling tea gardens, Lawachara forest gibbons, a Manipuri village and seven-layer tea.

Early morning pickup at 6:00 am, then drive (or take the morning train, subject to availability) roughly 190 km / 5 hours to Sreemangal. After checking into the hotel and resting, explore the lush green tea gardens and walk through a tea workers' village to see the traditional way of living. In the afternoon visit Baikka Beel bird sanctuary for local birds and sunset, then stop at a local stall to taste the famous seven-layer tea.
Start early before breakfast with an hour-long walk inside Lawachara National Park, a tropical semi-evergreen forest and your best chance of spotting the endangered hoolock gibbons in the wild, before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Then visit a Manipuri tribal village known for handloom handicrafts and traditional culture. Enjoy lunch in a tribal home before driving back to Dhaka, where the tour ends.
